Red Hood and the Suicide Squad plus some Owen Mercer cosplay

Left click to magnify
So I think it's pretty obvious why I threw this piece together from borrowed art that had the right look to it. I like the idea of pairing up Red Hood with members of the Suicide Squad that have all been Batman adversaries. Be sure to magnify this one it really pops.

Good job dude you really got the look down and I think this is presently the only Owen Mercer cosplay out there. Hopefully we'll see more in the future.

Next up, John Ostrander, Luke McDonnel and Jan Duursema on race relations in America

  1. Awesome 'shopped pic there Shlomo. I'm stealing that bad buy for my desktop;)

Now that you mention it, I guess the Red Hood won't be too out of place on a team like the 'Squad; hell he could even be Batman's spy in the team if you really needed a reason for him being there.

Good on that guy for doing the only cos-play pic I know of Owen Mercer. Very cool find.

  2. i kinda see Red Hood working with the Squad on a mission specific freelance basis as opposed to being a full on member. through out the series there were a lot of characters in DC that worked for the Squad on a short term basis as a non-convict agents. Roy Harper from issues 11 and 12 would be a good example.

  3. I definitely seem him sliding right in there. And out of there. And he's good at ticking off people, so he'd actually fit in better with these guys than more "normal" superhero teams.
And I love the pairing with all the Batman foes. Talk about story grist for the mill.

And I love even more the Owen cosplay. He wears it good. Really good.

    1. He's definitely whould fit SSquad.
Anger issues... Torn between good and evil? Just there. Au point.
Owen ´cosplay was amazing! Emediately recognizable. It took me some moments to see it was a cos play and not an actor in some DC tv series. He should be hired. That's how good he looks :)

  4. PoP....yes sir it does and reminds me why this is the place where the Suicide Squad lives.

DC comics presents Arsenal is on the stands if your interested. It seems the Outlaws are about to recruit you, so it might be a good read. The cosplay guy nailed Mercer. DC did too; to the cross. Another unnecessary casualty of war. Damn shame.

    1. welcome back OA1. thanks for the heads up on that Arsenal special i'll at least have a look at it. did you catch YJ last weekend? not only did we get the Sportsmaster/Manta show down but also Sportsmaster and Deathstroke squaring off as well. great episode i just loved it.

    2. Man, I got to say I'm thru with Young Justice. I was expecting a Sportsmaster, Manta climatic face off and the whole thing was really about setting up Deathstroke's future in the show. It didn't establish the blood feud or the drag out fight between assassins that it should have.

Sportsmaster and Black Manta needed Young Justice the show. Sportsmaster the chump character that he was has moved forward. Black Manta is now the same old guy at best and has taken a step back at worst. Can somebody merge the fight game that Geoff gave to him and the personality that YJ gave to him. Truly at this point I don't even care. Until the Batman

    3. "thru with Young Justice" just because one single episode didn't quite live up to your expectations? cmon man you need to settle down a bit. besides, this season has at least a few more episodes to go. the real concluding story arc for Black manta is when Kalder-on's true allegiance is revealed to his father. shit like that can be even more dramatic then a kick ass blood feud brawl.

    4. Today's ep was fire. Roy did his thing, Mongol finally had another good fight (after Sinestro put the hands to him). And is this the beginning of Arsenal and the Outsiders, the new Teen Titans or a new team altogether? I don't think their going to make up for the gross misstep of last week. But today YJ was back to animation greatness.
